For several days I have intended to go to the web site www.ELance.com to post a project I have been working on for my new web site/business venture. Although I am somewhat tech savvy with building web sites, I do not understand many of the integrate programming code for databases such as developing user names, login’s and passwords, etc. With that said, I knew I could probably find a programmer at elance to help me with this project. After submitting my project I went out to look at my post and was intrigued at what I found posted alongside my new request. There were posts for help with e-books, programming and other secretarial type services. I realize that this is nothing new, and for years people have been offering services for others in need of work completion. But of all of the posts on elance, the help with writing “blogs” was overwhelming! I was amazed at how many people want to post blogs on a regular basis but they want someone else to do the work for them. Many companies and individuals want to post blogs but like most other technology tools and marketing devices it has created more work for the real estate professional and stolen our valuable time for getting “things” done. Wow, I thought, it’s been March since I posted a blog. Yikes, I too want to write and blog but where does one’s time go. My goal beginning today is to put a date on my calendar to begin blogging on a regular basis. But my question and thought to you today is this: the next time you read that interesting blog/article and you begin to think about the author of the post, ask yourself this question, “I wonder who really wrote that blog?”

That's really true about people wanting others to do blog posts for them, it makes sense though. People who have successful blogs can make a lot of money.
It is my observation and simple opinion that if you wish to make a million dollars in the next 5 years, wear out shoe leather and not 'show ether'. I am referring to non-sensical blogs, but not his one, which is valuable. Focus is lost as we scrutinize too much. Or, if you prefer, much is lost as we focus too much on items not directly tangential to getting "things" done. And, that, America, is what business is about and not busy-ness. So, all of us in this cycle of over-information need to ask ourselves, not others, this question.... "Is this busy-ness or is this business." The former (busy-ness) has a 'y' in it; the latter has an "I" in it. I suggest we go back to basics with this simple thought - "Words have meanings creating ideas, all of which have specific, different consequences." Learn intent. Is what I am doing NOW "busy-ness" or is what I am doing NOW bus "I" ness. What is it that "I" intend to do in this next action. America, get back to business and not "busy-ness" would be my commonplace suggestion, if asked, and as this great blog asks for commentary, I was asked and have responded. Time to get back to "business".
