Why are designations important?

Have you ever noticed that some agents' business cards look like alphabet soup, while others only have their name? What is the difference? Designations! Designations let your clients and customers know that you have achieved a level of knowledge, experience, or training that others may not have. They also show your dedication to learning, advancing your career, and bettering yourself.

Most designations have some type of a course requirement, an experience or demonstration requirement, and perhaps a membership in an organization. Designation courses are offered through a variety of sources including the local associations of Realtors, real estate schools, and some may even be online.

Some of the more popular designations include:

ABR ' Accredited Buyer Representative

ASR ' Accredited Seller Representative

GRI ' Graduate Realtor Institute

CRS ' Certified Residential Specialist

There are dozens of others, each representing a different niche or segment of the real estate business. Don't yet have a designation or two? Why not"..your competitors do! Why not promote the best asset you have in this business ' yourself! Get started today.
