Do You Need Protection" Part I
January 15, 2007 by Bill ShueIs it me or has the volume of emails starting the New Year been out of control"?? As real estate professionals, email has become the lifeline to our business."? Without it the ability to respond and reply to our customers, who require instant gratification, would make our daily tasks more difficult."? We know that over 75% of consumers begin their home search on the Internet and that if we do not respond within 20 minutes we have probably lost that customer."? But are you really getting those leads? - Maybe Not
If your have a spam blocker or filter, chances are that you may be losing valuable leads; leads that your spent marketing dollars trying to attract."? If you have one of those spam blockers that sends a reply email that asks the customer fill out a request form to allow you to view their email, you have probably lost."? Why, because that customer either is no longer on their computer or they do not have the patience when they are looking to give you business."? They may view this screening process as a hindrance to sell their home.
The hidden villain are the brokerage companies that have spam filters on their network."? They have great intentions on trying to filter out spam, but are inadvertently filtering out customers."? I know this is occurring because it has personally happened to me."? If you have an email that goes through you company, then you are at risk."? And did you ever try to get the technology department to allow a sender through."? Get in line as it may takes days, weeks or months to get that accomplished.
Piece of advise:"? Real estate agents are a business and it is time to take control."? Get an email outside your office environment and do not block it!!
