New Face

Recently I was the guest speaker at the Realty Executives Broker/Owner convention in Seattle. A great change has come from the leadership of this organization that is changing their position in the marketplace.

I have been around Realty Executives for over a decade as an outsider noting their perception in the market. Many had thought this brand and franchise to be "dying slowly". That is no longer the case and one of the particular reasons they are doing well is their change in philosophy of working with their Broker/Owners.

In many franchises the Broker/Owner is told to use one of several different vendors for a variety of products and services. Select what you want and learn how to use it. Realty Executives is taking a different approach. Their concept is easy ... here are the best-of-the-best and we will support you using these tools ... anything outside of this and you are on your own.

There are so many choices in real estate service providers, I applaud Realty Executives for making the hard choices and backing it up with a commitment to training those services. This makes it easier for all involved ... now corporate can assist with the support and training of the actual tools being implemented in the brokerage offices. Compare this to the situation of having to try and support many different products that many different brokerages chose.

In the management world it is called standardization ... and it works.
